Digital stories, just part of the job
After reading a thought-provoking article about an ELL instructor who ended up becoming a Computer teacher through his persistent effort to integrate technology. I am inspired with my current guest to do the same despite an impossible workload, unimaginable responsibilities, and a non-existent budget.
Before this sounds like a vent session I want to state that I love my school, my profession, and the benefits and challenges that come along with it. Similarly, I do not feel most of my student believe the same, respectively.
Because of my rapport with all students I feel that they trust whatever I teach them in my classes. While this accomplishment is no easy feat, I feel obligated to make sure their skills are documented, used and ultimately transferable. This passion leads me to computer certifications that I am cap-stoning my courses with.
With this recognized Cengage learning certificates, students will be empowered to be master of their desired skills instead of jack of all trades (so to speak). Upon completion of some (or all) of these certificates the students will not only be able to blow their teachers away but also potential employers. Wouldn’t that be great for every school?
